It affected my belief in participation in voting as the parents are the most crucial source of political information for their children than what they here outside home. Children motivate political discussions at home and compel parents to keep abreast with their kids political growth. This makes the parents to be the most important source of political learning other than sources like schools, peers and mass media (Ehman 1980).Mass media is a powerful political socialization tool. It is not only a source of political information but also may have a substantial influence on political attitudes, opinions and values. Its effects became very important after the introduction of television, and the effect of newspaper and television vary. The political knowledge was positively associated with newspapers use while negativity was associated with the use of television. Newspaper and television news among new comers in American po litics and the Korean immigrants to the U.S, the immigrants with high levels of English proficiency consumed more newspaper while those lack perfect English depended on television.
